Appointment & Cancellation Policies

Regularly scheduled treatment appointments represent an agreement between you and your doctor. A particular time slot will be reserved for you and you are expected to regularly attend scheduled appointments.

Reasons for absences are to be limited to serious illness, hospitalizations, emergencies, or critical family situations. We require cancellations to be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. All cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice (unless it is deemed an emergency) are subject to a cancellation fee of $125 unless we are able to reschedule your appointment for the same day. Please be advised that the missed visit cannot be billed to your insurance company. If you wake up feeling sick, please text us at (973) 251-6569 as early as possible.

We understand that due to COVID, there may be necessary last-minute cancellations. If you have been exposed to COVID, or have tested positive for COVID, in the last 14 days, please alert us immediately to cancel your appointment. It is very important to keep a healthy office during these unprecedented times.

When it is necessary to cancel an appointment, we encourage you to reschedule it whenever possible, to ensure the consistency of your treatment and maximize therapeutic gain. If there are excessive cancellations, we reserve the right to put the treatment on hold.

You will receive advance notification (whenever possible) for emergency closures of the office. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified by 8:00 a.m. if your doctor must cancel your present-day appointment due to an emergency or illness. In the case of inclement weather, you will receive a text from the office if a closure is necessary.
